Jeffrey Nebolini er listrænn stjórnandi IDEO hönnunarstofunnar í San Francisco. Áður starfaði hann sem aðalhönnuður Burton Snowboards, jafnframt hefur hann unnið með the Arnell Group í New York, STEiNUNN í Reykjavík og Agency: Collective í San Francisco. Jeffrey hefur MFA í grafískri hönnun frá Cranbrook Academy of Art og B.S í jarðfræði frá Union College. Þetta er í fjórða skipti sem Jeffrey kemur til landsins að kenna við hönnunar- og arkitektúrdeild Listháskóla íslands.
Jeffrey Nebolini is an Art Director/Designer with roots in punk rock, skateboard culture, bicycles, glaciers, the Arts & Crafts movement, Italian opulence, and mid-century modernism. His hybridized (and often contradictory) visual sensibilities have been shaped and influenced by an erratic educational path, vast international travel, and a curiously contiguous career trajectory.
Currently an Art Director at IDEO in San Francisco, Jeffrey leads the visual component of design projects ranging from interactive experiences to high performance apparel, fashion branding, and environmental design. His agility among media and his multidisciplinary approach stems from a desire to make graphic design exist in more than 2 dimensions.
Prior to joining IDEO, Jeffrey was a Lead Brand Designer at Burton Snowboards.
During his tenure, Jeffrey helped to shape the image of the Burton brand though his work on women’s-specific global advertising, graphics for outerwear and apparel, and large-scale snowboarding events.
In addition to his work at IDEO and Burton, Jeffrey has worked with the Arnell Group in New York, STEiNUNN in Reykjavík, and Agency: Collective in San Francisco. His work has appeared in Transworld Snowboarding, Thrasher, NYLON, VICE, Time, and ESPN.
Jeffrey holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Union College. He is a Fulbright Scholar (Iceland, 2004), and a visiting instructor and critic at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavík. In his spare time, Jeffrey is a competitive cyclist and an avid snowboarder.
