Grafíski hönnuðurinn Lajos Major segir frá hugmyndum sínum og verkefnum í hádegisfyrirlestri Opna Listaháskólans föstudaginn 5.mars kl.12:.05, Skipholti 1, stofu 113.

Lajos Major er ungverskur myndlistarmaður sem hefur unnið mikið með mörk stafrófsins, ljósmyndir og leturgerð. Hann hefur verið í forsvari fyrir hóp [s=eee] sem gengur út á þetta og er orðið alþjóðlegt verkefni hjá hönnuðum í Frakklandi, Danmörk, Þýskalandi og Englandi. Lajos Major er doktorsnemi við Károly Eszterházy College of Eger í Ungverjalandi. Hann er nú í rannsóknarleyfi við hönnunar og arkitektúrdeild Listaháskóla Íslands.

Graphic designer Lajos Major has a lecture at the Open art Academy on Friday 5.march at 12.05 in Skipholt 1, room 113.

Lajos Major is an artist out of Hungary who has decided that the best way to learn the alphabet is by aggressive osmosis. I thought “Hooked on Phonics” was a good method, but I think this would prove to be an effective avenue towards literacy as well. In his lecture he will talk about [s=eee] is a self-organizing group of artists and students working with (the frontier of) photography and typography. Originally based at the University of Kaposvár, Hungary, led by Lajos Major. By now it is international, with the activity of creative people from France, Denmark, Germany and England.

The lecture is in English and is open to the public.
