The landscape consists of very intriguing contrasts where the lagoon, the icebergs and black sand play the lead role. The proposed intervention builds on the fact that the ice in the lagoon is mostly hidden from sight, the structure would follow this paradigm as they would themselves be partially hidden in the sand, 90/10. The form of the structures would direct guests towards specific aspects of the environment which are supposed to increase their understanding of this beautiful natural phenomenon. The activity of the lagoon consists of thee components, a visitor center which leans towards the lagoon, boathouse and restrooms as well as an experience pier which stretches to the ocean where guests get a unique opportunity to take part in the journey of the iceberg. The proposal builds on the current activity at the lagoon but is improved in order to highten the experience.
