Hailed by international critics as “one of the greatest Italian talents of today” (Prague),  “one of the most elegant and musical artists of his generation” (Jaén), “a skilled storyteller, always imaginative and inventive” (Hong Kong), Italian pianist Domenico Codispoti is also winner of Ferrol International Piano Competition, Premio Jaén, and several other piano contests in his native Italy. Nils Frahm, Nico Muhly), and Le Grand Tango, a two pianos recital dedicated to the music of Astor Piazzolla.

Codispoti was born in Catanzaro, southern Italy, in 1975. Following studies with Bruno Mezzena at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese in his native Country, he moved to the United States where he completed his Artist Diploma at Southern Methodist University in Dallas under Joaquin Achucarro. He also holds a honor diploma from Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena. After spending a decade in London, Granada, and Rome, he currently lives in Madrid, where he teaches at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska.
