The Wrong Place: A Program of Sonic Ethnography

The event will take place at MENGI Friday 17th at 6pm - 7pm.

The Wrong Place is a program of new sound works that interpret culture and lived experience. Each of the artists on the program will be present to answer questions from the audience.

This program is the culmination of a course at Listaháskóli Íslands led by Erik DeLuca called Sonic Ethnography. Sonic ethnography is an artistic-scholarly research methodology that uses the tools of phonography and audio technology to record, edit, and produce anthropologically informed sound works that interpret culture and lived experience.
