Musicals and new interpretations of Icelandic heritage are close to Hafsteinn Níelsson's heart. Iceland is a small but strange country with even stranger stories. Hafsteinn wants to say that performing arts enable us to see (let alone experience) stories in a new light. A colorful light that challenges dualism and distorts history for the better.
In his productions, Hafsteinn uses artistic elements such as music, light, dance, projection, etc. to create complex yet rhythmic works that deconstruct our ideas about the traditional play text as the key element of theatre. In Hafsteinn's works, more elements than the actors can have a dramatic victory.
