A glimpse of the water becomes silver lines that are embedded in the steel.

Welcome to the opening of the exhibition Blik / Flicker on Thursday, October 16th at 5:00 PM. It will also be open between 12:00-6:00 PM the weekend after the opening, October 18th-19th.

Gunnhildur Halla is interested in capturing magical moments that rise to the surface of everyday life, floating by and slowing down if we pay attention to them. These moments she seeks to capture in material, thus tuning the fine strings of sensitivity and strength. She works in sculpture and spatial installations and her materials are diverse, but she works with metal, clay, charcoal and textiles in her works.

The exhibition is part of a series of solo exhibitions by BA students in their third year in art, which will take place between September 25 and November 27, 2025.
Student solo exhibitions are part of the course Professors' Workshops supervised by Sirra Sigrún Sigurðardóttir. Teachers Hekla Dögg Jónsdóttir and Styrmir Örn Guðmundsson.
