In this course, students are required to design a structure for a public space in the city.

When solving this task, students will be challenged to identify both abstract and concrete location characteristics.

The structure that students then design is a response that takes a stance towards the environment.

Students then work to get their designs to convey that stance down to the smallest detail, while at the same time being encouraged to experiment with materials and methods.

To follow up, students build models of parts of the structure in real scale for further research into the relationship between drawing and the actual construction of the subject.
