$LEAZY PARTY

Mani Helgason
Private exhibition in Kubbnum
Opening October 2nd 17:00 PM – approx. 20:00 PM
-----
Sleazy Party explores the party as a symbol, a social space, and the aesthetic code society uses to capture the moment. Rhythmic tones, prints, light, and recycled furniture transform the exhibition space into something both seductive and sleazy.
Despite its playful appearance, we must ask ourselves, how do joy, masks, and surfaces shape our identity and shared experience? Sleazy party is not only a place to celebrate, but also an attempt to uncover the invisible tension between glamour and decadence, between what is on display and what lies beneath.
With irony and lightness as weapons, the show manages to tackle the heavy and highlight the absurd, breaking down the glossy image. In times of conflict, it is invited to step aside in a VIP atmosphere and enjoy the moment in good company.
