Í upphafi vorum við beðin um að velja okkur útgangspunkt sem við tengdum við. Ég vissi um leið að mín lína yrði unnin í kringum þau mörgu form sem svarti liturinn getur tekið og þá tilfinningu sem hann getur vakið hjá manni. Í kjölfarið fór af stað rannsóknarvinna þar sem ég safnaði myndum og málverkum sem ég tengdi við en út frá þeim myndum byrjaði sá hugar- hljóð- og myndheimur að skýrast.  Sá heimur felur í sér hráa en þó stýrða óreiðu og ég fór að velta fyrir mér hvaða áhrif það hefur þegar manneskja hylur andlit sitt, allt nema augun. Hver og einn getur túlkað myndirnar á sinn hátt, en ég hannaði útfrá því sem að ég sá og fann fyrir og fyrir valinu urðu þessi þrjú heildarútlit.

In the beginning, we were given the task of finding a concept that we related to. I knew from the very start that I wanted to design my collection based on the many shapes and forms of the color black and how it can evoke a certain feeling within the viewer. I started researching and collecting images and paintings that I could relate to and in that process I managed to narrow down what I felt, saw and heard. Coming back to the pictures time and time again I saw raw but controlled chaos and I began wondering what effect concealing a person’s face, all except the eyes can have on a person. People can interpret the pictures in their own way, but I designed based on what I felt, and the result was these three looks.
